Chris Devlin has worked as the Executive Director for the American Institute of Addiction since its founding in 2001. An entrepreneur and pioneer in the field of substance abuse treatment, Devlin has nearly 30 years of experience helping those battling addiction.
Devlin first established relationships in the Massachusetts courts when he founded the Eastern Massachusetts Addiction Assistance program in 1978. From 1987 to 1995, he was also the Marketing and Business Development Director at the Inpatient Rehabilitation Program for Northeast Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT. The program, called Founders Hall, went international during Devlin’s tenure. One of his favorite achievements at Founders Hall was persuading the hospital to purchase the birthplace of Dr. Bob, co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, who grew up in St. Johnsbury.
In 1995, Devlin decided on New York City for his next venture, so he chose to develop the New York City Alternative Assistance Program, which worked with New York City family and criminal courts to help those convicted of domestic and substance abuse-related crimes. Devlin also established an outpatient clinic on Capital Hill in Washington D.C., which helped the United States Senate with employee assistance work.
Devlin believes in concentrating in the areas of counseling and treatment, sober living, and wellness centers during the recovery process. He looks forward to the opportunity of working with you.
